Business Networking Event Liverpool

  • Where: Modo Paradiso, 2 Concert Square, Liverpool, L1 4AR (very close to Central Station)
  • Time: Arrive between 5:00 and 5:30PM if you want a 1-2-1 on arrival. Or, just grab a drink and mingle. The official start is 6PM – finishing just after 8PM (or stay for open networking)

Where The Conversations Lead To Business More Naturally

This is the ideal event for those who don’t do networking because of the crowd. On arrival you can choose a 1-2-1 meeting to ease you in.

No crowd to tackle. Then you are teamed up on tables of 6 to tackle the business topic of the night to ease you into it.

Then, each take turns to outline their business to each other. This levels the playing field for the more reserved networker.

We do it the other way around – the open networking happens after you have relaxed into the night, or, you are free to leave having already got great value.

Compare that to a crowd of 100 and speaking to just 1 or 2 people all night in a corner of the bar.

The Discussion Topic: To Be Advised

Either Pam or one of the members will deliver an educational slot on a hot business topic and then pose a question to the room.

That will become the ice-melting conversation topic for the night that will help us take a peek at the person behind the logo of each and every business in the room.

How? Well for a start, let’s give the more reserved networkers a chance. We’re going to limit that intimidating crowd many of us hate to face on arrival at an event.

So, after you book, you’ll be asked if you want a 1-2-1 chat when you arrive. So the first to arrive will be paired with the second. The third with the fourth. And so on.

This is for those who wish to arrive between 5:00 and 5:30. Then it’s the usual conversation-based format.

The 4 in 1 Networking Event Which Gives The More Introverted Networker A Level Playing Field

Learn Something New. First, you get educated. Each event kicks off with a short, 10-15 minute educational slot. That will kick off the conversations on tables of 6.

So here in full are those 4 key elements of the night:

Rapport. Next, even though there is open networking, you don’t have to “work the room” to get value networking. This is structured networking. You will be placed on tables of around 6 people.

As a team, you’ll be given the nights’s conversation topic. You will each chat through it. This helps you to get to know the people behind the logo. And then, you’ll all be asked to comment on a “live” LinkedIn post.

This will expand the conversation to the entire room and each and every table so you can peek behind the logo of everyone else in the room.

Ring-Fenced Pitching. We all hate being pitched. That’s why we create a safe place to both deliver and receive a pitch with a round-robin session. You and each of the others on the table will be given 2 minutes to talk about your business.

Although not compulsory, think of a special offer for the night, or an added-value extra you will give to the people on your table or anyone else they know afterwards.

Open Networking. At this point the more introverted networker has experienced a value event, with a level playing field. So, if you wish, you can leave.

But the rapport-building may well have made you relax into the event. So, to close the event and support our venue, those conversations which began on the table can continue as you buy a drink at the bar.

For the more outgoing folk, it will give you a chance to mingle with the others. Catch up with people you haven’t seen for a while, and if you’ve been before, catch up with people you’ve met at previous events.

Last – And Most Importantly – FUN. Business is lonely. So it’s great to catch up with people you really get to know. Yes, we have a laugh too. It’s done in a relaxed, light-hearted way so it feels like a night out with friends.
